Ways to play
Nichenaut has one simple rule (rarer right answers fly further) and several ways to play it: together in a room, with strangers online, or on your own.
Every mode runs in the browser at nichenaut.app on a phone, tablet or laptop. None of them needs an account or a download, and none of them costs anything. If you haven't played before, the how to play page explains the tiers and scoring that all of them share.
Play together
The game was made for groups. One person hosts and shares a four-letter code, or you jump into the public round.
- Host a partyFriends in one room or on a call, each on their own phone.
- Class modeThe teacher hosts on the board, up to 25 pupils answer on their own devices.
- Custom missionEveryone writes the prompts and the room rates the answers.
- Open OrbitA public round that is always running. Drop in any time.

Play solo
Under SOLO on the home screen are four ways to play on your own. They pay coins and XP like a hosted mission, and your bests are kept so there's always something to beat.
- InfiniteSolo, one prompt after another until the oxygen runs out.
- Themed missionsSolo, seven prompts from one topic you pick.
- Today’s missionThe same seven prompts for everyone, new every day.
- PracticeTry any prompt and see where an answer would land.
Which one should I pick?
- With friends in the same room or on a call: host a party.
- Teaching a lesson: class mode.
- A group that loves inside jokes: a custom mission.
- Alone, with five minutes: Open Orbit or today's mission.
- Alone, with longer: Infinite.
- Learning a topic: themed missions and Practice.
