Themed missions

Pick a topic, answer seven prompts, see how far you flew. The simplest solo mode, and the best way to find out what you really know about something.

PICK A TOPIC

What it is

A themed mission is a normal seven prompt mission, played alone, with every prompt from one topic. There are eighteen topics, from general knowledge and geography to video games, brands and school life, and each holds dozens or hundreds of prompts, so you can play the same one many times without repeats coming round quickly. The full list, with sample prompts, is on the topics page.

How it plays

Type a name, pick a topic, and the first prompt appears with a 25 second clock. Each answer flies off and lands at its tier, exactly as it would in a party, and the distance adds up over the seven prompts. At the end you get your total, a verdict on how far out you got, and any coins and XP the mission earned. Rewards count once you've answered three prompts, and you can end a mission early without losing what you've earned.

Your best distance for each topic is remembered, so there's always something to beat.

Choosing a topic

The big topics (geography, movies and TV, sport, music, words and language) have the most prompts and the deepest lists, so a specialist can fly a very long way in them. The smaller ones, like internet and social media or school life, are quicker to learn and good for a change of pace. The last five (everyday life, earth and beyond, pop culture, history, people and words, and sports, hobbies and tech) mix prompts from several areas, which makes them a decent middle ground if you can't decide. Playing the same topic a few times is the surest way to improve: you start to notice which answers everyone gives, and which ones nobody does.

Who it's for

Solo players who like a clear goal, and anyone who wants to practise a subject. Pupils can use it for revision at home (geography, science and words and language work especially well). If you want an endless run instead, play Infinite; to try single prompts without any pressure, use Practice.
